Spring on the farm

Spring on the Farm: Bonding with My Boys and Our New Wool Baby Blankets

Springtime on the farm is always a special time, especially when lambing season kicks off. As I write this, I’m off to help with the lambing, and let me tell you, it’s a whirlwind of busy, stressful, and exhilarating moments. My two little boys, Magnus and Axel, absolutely love it. There's something magical about spring on the farm, watching the new lambs take their first steps, and it’s always a joy to see the boys in their element just wandering the farm! Axel’s favourite word is “sheep” it’s no wonder he’s seeing so many of them just now, he loves the lambs so much calling on them excitedly“baby” with glee.

Magnus’ favourite job is feeding and watering the pens- he’s in charge of the ewes that have just had their lambs. It’s a lot to juggle, but the joy on his face makes it all feel a bit lighter, even when things get a bit hectic. And his little bucket? It’s his pride and joy! It's moments like these that make this time of year so special. He did ask for another one he seen in the shop, he’s obsessed with rainbows and bright colours- he’s his mother’s son for sure!

Why Wool Baby Blankets? The Perfect Gift for Spring

Now, while we’re in full lambing mode, I’m also excited to launch something that’s been on my mind for a while I mean a few years; my very own collection of super soft lambswool baby blankets! Since before I had the boys I dreamed of getting a luxurious baby blanket for my baby, literally dreaming of the day I could push a pram with a gorgeous knitted blanket over my baby. It truly was such a wonderful feeling when I got to use my very own blankets for my boys. These aren't just any blankets; they’re made from super soft lambswool, the perfect choice for your little ones. I’m offering them at a launch price of £40, with the option to personalise them with embroidery for just a little bit more. I am almost in disbelief that my boys aren’t babies anymore because last year I was pushing a pram with a baby boy and carrying him around, now they’re running around “helping Mumma”.

Spring is the season of new beginnings, and what better way to welcome a baby into the world than with a cosy, hypoallergenic, breathable blanket made from nature’s finest material? We’ve just welcomed another new addition to our clan our nephew, Bill, and there was no other choice for a beautiful personalised gift. Trust me, wool is the best thing you can choose for your baby. Unlike cashmere, which doesn’t offer the same hypoallergenic properties, lambswool is gentle, breathable, and the ideal choice for a baby’s delicate skin. And don’t worry, this isn’t the scratchy acrylic wool that your granny used to knit with (though we all love Granny’s knitted jumpers). No, this is soft, high-quality lambswool that stays soft even after a few washes although they shouldn’t need regular laundering. Nothing goes crunchy around here! If you’re unsure how to care for your wool items take a look at the care guide.

Why You’ll Love These Blankets
These wool baby blankets are not only practical but also stylish. The gentle, soft feel is perfect for cuddling your little one on cool spring evenings, and the quality craftsmanship means they’ll last for years. Whether you're using them as a gift for a new lamb or adding a splash of colour to your own pram, these blankets are the perfect blend of comfort and luxury. Lambswool ‘holds’ moisture within the air trapped between its wavy strands of fibre. Tight curly hairs inhibit air movement, to such an extent that the space between them works in our favour, locking moisture comfortably away and producing heat as it does.

Your Perfect Spring Gift
Now, here’s the thing, these wool baby blankets are going fast! With the launch offer at £40, it’s the perfect time to get your hands on one (or two). And don’t forget, personalisation options are available if you want to make it extra special just drop me an email. This is a great gift for any new mum or a thoughtful addition to your own nursery. Whilst you’re at it who wouldn’t love a cosy hug for their feet postpartum so grab her some socks here.
